Tecpetrol has completed the construction of Fortín de Piedra, the most important shale gas project in Vaca Muerta.

More than 120 students and graduates joined a virtual chat given by Pablo Blasco where he presented an analysis of the management process applied at Fortín de Piedra and the paradigm shift involved in terms of how this compared with traditional industry. The event was held as part of the University Relations program that continued to reach the academic world, even during lockdown.

The companies of the Techint Group, Tenaris, Ternium, Techint I&C, and Tecpetrol, together with Fundación PROA, are launching a cycle of three virtual meetings that will address the work of great masters of the lens and the camera.

The first anniversary of the company’s +diversity declaration was celebrated with a virtual meeting featuring Carlos Ormachea and seven panelists, showcasing Tecpetrol’s diverse DNA by sharing some of the stories told by employees of different nationalities, genders and ages.

Tecpetrol donated two ventilators to the Comodoro Rivadavia Regional Hospital in the Argentine province of Chubut, reinforcing its support for the local health system, to which it has already contributed some USD 142 thousand dollars in equipment and biosafety elements to tackle COVID-19.

The Milan-based Humanitas Research Network, which is part of the Techint Group, held a second videoconference event with over 170 professionals from eight countries to present its experience and share know-how, including progress in understanding and treating COVID-19.

With the donation of a ventilator to the Pte. Juan Domingo Perón Hospital, Tecpetrol finalized its program of contributions to the health sector in the Department of San Martín, in the framework of the COVID-19 pandemic.

During 2019, the Techint Group allocated USD 26.3 million to projects in 52 communities for a range of different educational and cultural activities and programs in areas where the companies operate. Source: TechintToday
