The United Nations General Assembly proclaimed January 24 as the International Day of Education to celebrate the vital role played by education in the modern world. We spoke to Erika Bienek, Director of Community Relations at the Techint Group, to find out more about the company's view of education as a driver for development, and the efforts invested in this area in the COVID-19 context.

After thirty years of development in the block, which has been a key asset for Tecpetrol, particularly at the outset of its activities, the Agua Salada field has recently hit new oil production targets, among other milestones. The story behind these remarkable results. 

The new oil production processing plant has just started up, bringing tangible benefits to the community as part of a more long-term development project, including a drilling plan.

Thanks to exploring data science, Tecpetrol has developed a Recommendations System to improve drilling efficiency at its operations in Fortín de Piedra and El Tordillo.

On January 3, the first induction course was held in virtual format for over 200 university students selected to take part in the company’s Summer Educational Practices 2022.

The Diversity program has won the top Incluye Prize for 2021which distinguishes the best Diversity and Inclusion practices of the year. The Tecpetrol program was chosen from among over fifty initiatives underway in companies in Mexico that are members of the Incluye Forum, working to promote ideas for an inclusive culture.

At Tecpetrol, we are supporting a range of different civil society organizations working with the community. We've been sharing the work of Lekotek, who has been developing actions to promote the right to play for children with disabilities and in risk situations.

Innovation is about finding new ways of solving problems and challenging the status quo. Our Administration, Supplier Management and IT teams have managed to integrate different management systems and automate a process by asking a simple question: Who else can I work with to be more efficient?
