As the third anniversary of Tecpetrol's equity and inclusion program comes around, we remember the milestones notched up on a long and eventful road where all employees have had a chance to get involved. Looking to the future, we are set to expand and deepen the areas where we have a role to play, and provide our colleagues with more tools on our journey.
The Energy Transition Directorate (DITE, in Spanish), headed up by Andrea Rocca, gave a seminar on "The energy transition in the steel industry." The event showcased contributions by experts from various Techint Group companies, prompting a discussion on the opportunities offered by disruptive technologies accelerating the decarbonization process.
A stronger team
Our +diversity program aims to empower women to fulfill their talent and potential, and reaffirms our commitment to equal opportunities. Today, 42% of Tecpetrol's young professionals are women. Our objective is to develop this seedbed so that they can grow and add value from leadership roles.
The program embraces broader issues, as it tackles diversity from all angles capable of adding value to the business. It seeks to raise awareness about biases that limit the growth and contribution of certain groups of people within the organization, and to create tools to help everyone to develop as fully as possible in each area of their lives.
