Expo Techint returned on September 15, giving students a chance to get to know the Group’s companies. Through talks, workshops and informal conversations with company executives, they learned about our projects, heard from the people behind them and explored career opportunities across the Group.

Our Talent Acquisition teams regularly visit universities to meet students and young professionals. On September 15, Expo Techint gave them the chance to come to us. Through talks, workshops, personal stories and networking, participants got a firsthand look at the Techint Group. They met colleagues from different fields, learned about our projects and explored career opportunities across the Group’s companies.

The event drew 750 registrations: of the 300 people selected, 255 joined us for the day and made the most of the program activities to talk to professionals from different areas, get first-hand information about each company’s talent searches and take advantage of all the networking opportunities.

"Expo Techint is one of our flagship initiatives when it comes to showing the next generation what we’re about. It gives young people a chance to see what working at the Group is really like,” said Sofía Salaz, Talent Attraction Manager. “For the third year running, we’ve seen more students signing up to take part. They’re eager to learn about our projects, our culture and how they can grow here.”

A look inside the Group

The day began with an introduction to the Techint Group and continued with talks on artificial intelligence, workshops on preparing for work, and stories from young professionals about how they joined the Group and built their careers.

“Events like this are a great way to introduce young people to the workplace, and we have a responsibility to make that experience count,” said Sofía Stratico, JP Pool at Tecpetrol and one of the speakers. “I wanted to encourage them to decide what they want from their careers, say it out loud and ask for opportunities. There are plenty of ways to grow at Tecpetrol and across the Group.”

A gateway to professional development

Participants also joined games and other activities, had photos taken for their résumés, and spoke with Talent Acquisition specialists about applying for jobs, building their careers and finding opportunities within the Group.

Expo Techint’s blend of learning and networking experiences gave students and young professionals a chance to meet teams in person, learn how they work, and picture a future full of opportunities as a professional working with one of the Group’s companies.
