Techint Group Roadshow to Attract Young Professionals and Interns

With visits to universities in Tucuman, Santa Fe, San Juan, Mendoza, Cordoba, Chubut, Neuquen, the province of Buenos Aires and the City of Buenos Aires, the company is seeking to attract some 400 Engineering, Economic Sciences and Systems students and graduates.

On Thursday, August 5, the Techint Group is launching its university roadshow, touring different cities in the interior of the country to attract students and recent graduates for its Summer Educational Practices (PEV) and Young Professionals Program (JP). The search is aimed at university students who have passed at least half of their course subjects or recently graduated. The degree courses are Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Systems, Business Administration or Accountancy

The drive begins on August 5 and will last until mid-November, stopping off at university establishments in the provinces of Tucuman, Santa Fe, San Juan, Mendoza, the province of Buenos Aires, Cordoba, Chubut, Neuquen and the City of Buenos Aires. The idea is to complete the tour with a short list of some 400 profiles for the Techint Group companies. For candidates living far from the companies’ offices and operations, the proposal includes a relocation package covering accommodation, transport and per diems.

Apply here, search the page using the keyword "PEV" or "JP", and select the location where you would like to apply. If your profile matches the requirements, the recruitment team will contact you to begin the selection process.

“Our programs target young people who want to acquire specific work experience in one of the thirteen locations where we operate. This is about giving them the opportunity to kickstart their careers, encouraging them to improve their skills and give them the room they need to act and grow,” said Lara Lascurain, Manager of Talent Management of the Techint Group.

The Summer Educational Internships (PEV) are three months long and last from January to March. This is remunerated experience, and during the course, the applicants will be assigned to a specific project with designated tasks and responsibilities, a professional complement to their academic training, allowing them to put the theoretical knowledge gained during their studies into practice.

During the induction to the program, the young people will have the opportunity to learn more about the Techint Group companies, their plants, fields, and/or projects, and how the industrial sectors to which each one belongs function. They’ll be able to find out first-hand about the peculiarities of the world of steel, conventional and unconventional energy, and engineering and construction. Each intern will be accompanied throughout the process by a tutor.

The Young Professionals (JP) Program is for recent graduates or students in their last year of studies seeking effective incorporation. The program is a strategic tool designed to strengthen the development of professionals with the potential to become the future leaders of the companies making up the Techint Group, which has a global presence and a mission to tackle great challenges.

The Techint Group has a Career Plan for all its staff, with different programs designed for each level, whether they are students, recent graduates, young professionals, senior professionals, middle managers, managers, or directors. More than half of the senior management at the Techint Group today in Argentina made their way thanks to the Young Professionals program, which has been fostering talent for over 35 years.
