Gas & Power

Pesqueria Power Plant

  • Generating power for Mexico

Tecpetrol headed up the project to build a combined cycle generation plant featuring a configuration of one steam and three gas turbines in Monterrey, Mexico.

With an investment of one billion dollars, the 900 MW plant started up in December 2016 to supply energy to Ternium and Tenaris facilities in the country.

The project was developed jointly by the companies from the Techint Organization: Tecpetrol, Ternium and TenarisTamsa, and built by Techint Engineering & Construction.

Standing next to the Ternium Industrial Center, the Pesquería Power Plant is one of the main facilities driving productive development at the industrial pole in the municipality, which is well served by road infrastructure and other key services for the industry.
