TECPETROL CULTURE

An energy-focused TUIC

The Tecpetrol University Induction Camp (TUIC) was launched in 2014 to provide our young professionals with an opportunity for intensive training. The four-week course covers 160 hours of training in various areas, of which 45% is taught by internal company instructors. The TUICers travel to Buenos Aires and Comodoro Rivadavia to train at the Field School and hail from the company’s operations in Mexico, Ecuador, Colombia, and different parts of Argentina.

INDUCTION PROCESS

Immersion in the Oil & Gas industry

  • First week: the basics

    This covers a series of theoretical modules: hydrocarbons exploration, reservoir development, drilling and production.

  • The Field School

    Held at the El Tordillo field, in the Argentine province of Chubut, the Field School is an opportunity for a hands-on experience learning about the day-to-day running of a conventional operation.

  • Management Induction Week

    The training focuses on reinforcing a number of management aspects common to the world of business.

  • Business acumen

    The content covers the development of conventional and unconventional hydrocarbons, using simulators to help students gain a better overview of the business.
