The Techint Group ranks among Argentina’s top five companies for corporate image
The Techint Group has been ranked fifth in the 2026 edition of Argentina’s 100 Best Companies for Corporate Image, published by Apertura magazine in partnership with SEL Consultores. The ranking is based on a survey of opinion leaders from the business, media and consulting sectors.
Now in its 24th consecutive year, the Revista Apertura ranking has become a benchmark survey of Argentina’s business community, measuring how the country’s leading companies are perceived. In the 2026 edition, the Techint Group ranked fifth overall, just behind Mercado Libre, Arcor, YPF and Toyota.
The survey analyzed 11 image attributes: reliability of products and services, ethics and transparency, economic and financial strength, responsible customer service, care for human resources, advertising and communication, quality of management, innovation, sustainable management, track record and longevity in Argentina, and investment in the country. Each attribute was weighted according to the importance assigned to it by respondents.
As part of the Techint Group, Tecpetrol has contributed to strengthening these attributes through the strategic development of energy projects in Vaca Muerta. The most recent, Los Toldos II Este, involves an investment of USD 2.4 billion and is expected to generate more than 3,000 jobs while supporting over 700 small and medium-sized enterprises across Argentina.
How the ranking was compiled
SEL Consultores surveyed 330 opinion leaders between November and December 2025, including 260 business executives, 35 consultants and 35 journalists. The ranking was based on three methodological criteria: the number of mentions each company received, the order in which it was mentioned (first, second or third place), and a score from 1 to 10 assigned to each company cited.
The survey was based on spontaneous responses gathered through a semi-structured questionnaire, taking into account both overall references to companies with the strongest corporate image and responses linked to specific attributes.
The study also included industry-specific rankings, compiled from responses within each sector. In this edition, ten industries were evaluated, considering how frequently companies were cited, the order in which they appeared, and the scores assigned to each company relative to the sector leader.
