Production records don’t happen by chance! Here’s a look at the events, initiatives and programs that swept Tecpetrol to 2022 chock-full of good news, despite the challenging context.   

The historic production record of 20 million cubic meters of gas in a single day, achieved in August in Fortín de Piedra, crowned Tecpetrol’s performance this year.

Another major achievement with highly positive ramifications for the future was the award of the contract to build the Nestor Kirchner Gas Pipeline from Neuquén to Buenos Aires, a tender won by Techint Engineering & Construction earlier this year. This is the largest infrastructure project of the last four decades in Argentina—and one that will be vital not only for Tecpetrol but also for the entire Group.

However, these successes were due to a chain of achievements which built a strong year despite all the challenges of the post-pandemic recovery and the international context. 

Contract wins and developments in different areas have set the course for growth throughout the company’s operations, with extraordinary experiences in the maintenance area and a permanent emphasis on safe operations.

At the same time, the developments in direct lithium extraction at the company’s pilot plant in Salta, and a slew of investments in hydrogen and geothermal energy are shaping the projection of the Energy Transition Unit.

The company’s +Diversity program and the new Tecpetrol University integrated training platform continued to strengthen the process of cultural transformation launched a few years ago, buttressed by its commitment to the environment through concrete links with both suppliers and neighboring communities.
