Exploration and Production

Oriente basin:
Tecpetrol is a key player in the Ecuadorian oil market and participates in areas which represent around 25% of the country's hydrocarbons production.

Bermejo (1999-2019):
In 1999 Tecpetrol was awarded for 20 years of the concession to operate the Bermejo block, located in Sucumbios. Thanks to the experience in the development of mature fields, Tecpetrol achieved a very significant increase in production with the implementation of secondary recovery projects, horizontal and exploratory wells, and 3D seismic registration. At the beginning of the concession the field produced 3,731 barrels of oil per day (bbl/d). Tecpetrol managed to raise it to 9,010 bbl/d at the peak of production.

20 years cumulative production: 35 MMBo
Wells: 24 drilled, 13 directional and 3 horizontal
Work Over performed: 31 wells

Shushufindi and Libertador:
In 2012, Tecpetrol began providing services to Petroamazonas in Shushufindi and Libertador through two consortia, Shushufindi where it is a partner with a 25% stake and Pardaliservice, where the company is the project leader with a 40% stake. Between them, the consortia produce 95 Mbbl/d, and have achieved an incremental production of some 60 Mbbl/d since the projects were awarded.

Oriente basin:
Tecpetrol's chief aim is to increase production and develop the mature fields awarded by Petroamazonas in the Oriente basin.
